Ordered a MotoCentric 19 tank bag based on the few recommendations here and think it's about the perfect size.  Not to big or wide, yet not so small either.  Magnet's are even strong enough to hold fast through my Gripster pad on the rear of the tank which really surprised me given it's thickness.  Don't think anyone's posted pic's of this one yet so here's a couple for your viewing pleasure (just ignore my messy garage, I'm in the middle of a bathroom remodel).

Hey Rich, is that the place you bought the tankbag from? What is the phone number there? Do they have a phone?

Here is a pic of the Bags Connection with the TrialQL tank bag. To me it was a PITA to put back on, easy off though, so I sold it and got the Motocentric 19

Here is a pic of the Motocentric

I recently bought a Cortech magnetic to replace my smaller Honda bag. I used it on a 10 day trip a couple of weeks ago. This thing is perfect. Nice pockets, great quality, clear plastic on top so that you can view a map and never moves around once installed. It fits 2 pairs of size 10 shoes with a little bit of room left over. Plus other pouches for glasses, etc. Rain cover included.

Why use a small tank bag, when bigger bags don't get in the way? Unless it's the perfect day and you need very little, I can always think of things to put into my tank bag. I got a 19 litre bag (Motocentric Mototrek 19)and never looked back. It doesn't get in the way, it looks good, and if I need the room I have it. Happy riding gentlemen and Go Irish!

I have this exact bag I believe, and yes, it's awesome.  I love the hydration option as well as all the different little pockets.

I have the same pads. They are made by Techspec. Looks like he has the snake skin model. They offer a very good grip and some good protection. They are not really a foam but more of a hard rubber and they are adhesive backed but you can take them off and put them back on with no troubles as long as you keep the back side clean. Plus they come pre-cut for your bike.

However I use the 2010+ style as the battery side looks better IMO

Bump....

Any more of you folks have pictures of magnetic tank bags?  I am looking for something smaller so it doesn't get in the way when I lean into corners.

If the Mini from Cortech gets in your way, you won't need a tank bag anyway...

Does anyone know of a tank bag that will fit well on the plastic portion of a 2012? I'm looking for something to hold my phone and wallet and don't want to take it off to re-fuel.....so the largest bag that won't hit the bars or interfere with the fuel cap.

Thanks.

This is an interesting bag and dirt cheap. You'll need to make some kind of strap mount. It should fit on the cover without interferance. Marsee makes good stuff.

Just came in the other day and it rocks so far. Cortech Super 2.0 18L Magnetic. Fits right over the useless glove box and sticks to the tank. Doesn't slide around and comes off easy when you need to fill up.
