Flies out without a PC?
« on: May 12, 2011, 07:30:30 AM »
I'm already itching for that extra low-end torque I've read about by removing the secondary flies.  My plan is to get a PCV eventually, but having just bought the bike, I can't justify buying one right now.  I'm just curious if others have removed flies on an otherwise stock bike WITHOUT a fuel management add-on and what your results have been.

Also, has anyone ever modified the flies and re-installed them?  A popular mod that I did to my previous bike (FZ1) was to remove them, cut them to a smaller diameter, and reinstall them.  There are even a couple shops who make and sell smaller diameter flies for that bike.

I ran mine flies out for several months before I added the PCV. I think the general consensus is don't run it without fuel management forever. Put back a few dollars at a time and get one from Fuel-moto they have the best deal around.
