First Sport Tour
« on: December 20, 2017, 04:14:44 PM »
I've been researching the Connie on both forums for a while now. I finally pulled the trigger today, so I guess it is time I introduce myself.

I've always been more of a cruiser guy. (See signature below) Never had a sport bike. Started on dirt bikes when I was 6 years old. I had several dirt bikes, ATVs, minibikes, etc, when I was growing up. I had a KZ650 in college, but I've been riding cruisers every since. I made the jump today. I bought my first Sport Touring bike, a brand new 2017 C-14, and put 100 miles on it already. I had a blast out on the twistiest local roads I could find. Can't wait to get the break in done and get it out for a day in the mountains.

Thanks!

I was originally looking for a black 2016 with the green pin striping, but when I saw the 2017, that blue looked really good on this bike. It is the first bike I've had in a long time that wasn't black. I always thought black was the fastest color... now I'm not so sure!  :D

I’m surprised we haven’t gotten a reply from a certain someone that would say neither black nor blue are fastest.

You would be correct... that would be silver (real silver, not the silvery blue 2008)!  But I like the 2017 blue...  I also like that burgundy color (can't remember the year off the top of my head).

Man, I love that blue -- but I got a deal on a leftover new black 2015 Concours that I couldn't pass up.  I like the black, but that blue is like seeing a former crush from school.   :)

Welcome aboard!

I know what you mean. I normally end up buying black bikes but that blue is a real eye catcher. The deal I got on it didn't hurt either tho!
