FOB Cloning

FOB Cloning Information
Clones can be made from either the Spare (passive) FOB, or the back cover of your Active (battery) FOB. No matter which one you choose, the clone will function exactly as the Spare (passive) FOB does.
Whichever one you choose to have cloned, you will send exactly what is pictured for that choice.
Choice 1: Clone the Spare (passive) FOB. If cloning the Spare FOB, send only the FOB  – not the key.

Choice 2: Clone the chip located in the back cover of the Active FOB. ONLY the back cover with the chip is needed – no keys or circuit boards should be sent. The chip is circled in the picture. Cloning this chip does not create an Active FOB – it creates a backup that functions exactly like the Spare (passive) FOB.  If you choose this wrap the other half in stretch plastic to protect it and use as normal while waiting for you new chips and the back to be returned.

IMPORTANT: Prior to sending either the Spare (passive) FOB, or the back cover of the Active FOB for cloning, functionality must be tested. If you do not know how to do this, it will be explained to you prior to you mailing it.
Benefits of Cloning:

  • 1)  The clones are exact copies of the Spare (passive) FOB, or the chip located in the Active FOB case. The bike will not know the difference. This allows you to have as many copies as you like. 2)  No dealer visit is required – no programming is required.
Available Options:
CAPSULE CLONE (Available in US Only):
Clear side has an indent that fits perfectly over the rectangular bump on ignition switch – foolproof placement. Comes with Velcro to attach to surface you choose.

KEY RING CLONE (Available in US and Europe): Convenient for a key ring (keep in mind you do not want to attach it to the key ring with your Active FOB in case you lose it). More specific about placement of FOB on ignition switch due to location of chip inside. If purchased for US, comes with Velcro to attach to surface should you choose to do so, and a ball chain keyring chain.
