Urgent! Will the Connie hold a 12 pack?
« on: August 06, 2011, 10:57:53 AM »
OK, going to a get together, can't show up empty handed. Will a standard 12 pack of bottled beer, say Dos Equis, fit in a saddlebag?  Serious question.

 ;D Thanks

Woot! I just had a feeling that someone here would know.
Thanks brother!
Now I have to empty out one bag so I can fit 1 in each side.

Along the same lines, how is Shiner Bock? It's kind of new in the N. IL. area, at least I don't recall seeing it around.  I prefer fuller bodied beers with some flavor over the 'lites', Blue Moon, Anchor Steam, Leinies and the like. I'd like to drink more of the small batch brews but the cost is a little prohibiting. So any one drink Shiner?

Yes, and there should be room for some ice in there too.  You DON'T want to arrive with warm beer. ;D

Then you should like Shiner Bock. Not as intense as something like a stout but tons of flavor.

Timsatx, yeah, probably a good idea.

Well that answers my question on which bike I'll buy next. C14, hands down. TWO 12packs per sidecase.

With a top box, you can be the beer wagon.

And yes, Shiner Bock is good.

Shiner puts out small run seasonal stuff that never seems to leave Texas. I'll miss that when I move.

A case of cans fits just fine in the sidebag of a C10.

With room for ice.

If you like Shiner Bock then you'll really like Shiner Black Lager.

 :rotflmao: on the Urgent!

Why am I NOT surprised you guys know this?

So, on these lines, what's the highest number of beer cans that can fit in a C10 sidebag?  And C14?  Assuming no ice...

The side cases will hold a 24-pack in each one, I know from experience...  :)   :chugbeer:

Michelob Ultra?  What a terrible waste of saddlebag space. You could have easily fit some real beer in there. :P

Here in the NorthEast, Yeungling is better in cans.  Specifically, the 24-packs.  They're brewed and canned at the actual "America's Oldest Brewery" in Pottsville, PA.  I ride with a guy that works there, running the bottling/canning machine.  (The 12-packs come from their big, modern brewery in FL. - And the fluorescent lights in the coolers do horrible things to beer in bottles.)
