I bought a new to me 2009 Concours 14 with 14k to replace an older sport touring bike. I rode it for 300 miles already and by now I like it a lot! Excellent in bumper to bumper traffic; pulls from 1100 rpms, way smother than my old bike. Beautiful on the highway at 80-90mph and crazy acceleration. I wish I could leave the hardbags unlocked, the seat to be an inch lower and the weight be 100lbs less. Anyway, I can not have it all!  :)

I am looking forward to participate with all of you in the zggtr forum!

Welcome along from the U.K

Get a spare key cut for your panniers/tank cap, that is if you haven't already done so ;)

Welcome Fairfax! I had the same request when I bought my 2010 6 years ago. My solution was to have an extra key made, cut the end down and epoxy it into a small radio knob. Then I leave it in the right bag unless I park somewhere I don't trust. Then just slip it out of the bag into my pocket. Otherwise easy access to the bags and I also use it for the gas. I hardly ever take the stove knob out of the bike.

I like this idea! I will try to make one.

Welcome!  I live in Lorton.
