What exhaust is this?
« on: May 14, 2011, 01:46:57 PM »
I bough a 2010 yesterday with 1045 miles on it. The exhaust is aftermarket but it has no markings on it. Anybody know what this is? The muffler is Carbon fiber on the outside and looks like it came with a new pipe down to the headers.

It looks like a Leo Vince to me too – and it looks AWEFUL on your bike. I’ll bet it sounds AWEFUL too! Send me the pipe and $50 to cover shipping, and I’ll send you a nice, stock replacement unit. This is a limited time offer, so don’t wait!

Contrats on the new purchase ;D

I appreciate your offer. To know there are such kind hearted people in this cruel world just fills my heart with gladness. However, I could not live with myself if I were to pass this burden on to someone else and cause them such suffering. So I shall continue to carry the great shame of a horrible looking awful sounding exhaust.  ;D

After an exhausting search of the internet I'm inclined to call it A Leo Vince myself. I knew of some of the bigger exhaust companies like Muzzy and V&H but I have never heard of Leo Vince before today.

Yup! Leo Vimce Carbon Fiber with the "quiet insert", installed.

It is a Leo Vince you need to pull the the quiet baffle out of the back allen screw under rubber cover on the back of the can bottom side. This pipe has a great sound only loud if your really getting on it.

Cool. I was hoping I could make it louder. At speed I can barely hear it over the wind noise and the ear plugs. That just ain't right! I'll have to pull the baffle and see how I like it. It sounds pretty good idling and slow speed.

Any chance of getting a sound clip?  The Leo is in my short list but I can't find a decent sound clip anywhere.
