Airhawk seat cushion question.
« on: February 03, 2012, 06:51:39 PM »
If you look at the sizing chart below
http://www.therohostore.com/AIRHAWK-Motorcycle-Seat-Cushion-Fit-Chart.aspx

The recommendation for the Concours is the "Airhawk Small Cruiser" (18" Deep X 12" Wide).  A buddy has a new "Airhawk 2" (14" X 14") for sale.  Since it's 4" short in depth and 2" wider than charted................................Would you get it?

Yes, it's at least 35% below list.  Good deal.
Does this mean we get a "Re-Do" on life too?

Nice pricing, but be careful with the thickness.
How high do you want to sit above your windscreen.
Not to mention getting into the buffet zone (Not Jimmy in the helmet speakers)
My $.02, yea I know, cheap.
Ride safe all,
Greg

Yeah. I was thinking about the height thing too.  If I don't get this, I'll go with the composit seat beads.  BTW, if anyone wants it let me know and I'll get you all the info.

Nice pricing, but be careful with the thickness.
I found, when using an air cushion for medical reasons, (not on a bike) that I got the most comfort with it just barely inflated.  Just enough to keep me from contacting the seat surface.  That's how I'd expect I'd set up an Airhawk.

I have an Airhawkand and when properly inflated it doesn't raise you up that much. Just enough air to keep you butt off of the seat. The beads will probably raise you more than the Airhawk. I use mine for long trips. If its a buddy, get it and try it out.
