Post by: Rhino on October 06, 2017, 07:19:02 AM
I ran across this place in Lusk WY a few years ago.

It appears that they have great confidence in getting the concrete to grow again by thoroughly watering it.

Keep in mine these people aren't just experts, they are "masters". When the come to your house to kill your lawn, you have to call them "Sensei".

"But hey!.  What about the drought?  Don't we have a drought going on? Isn't the drought terrible?  It destroyed my business!  Oh wait. I live in WY."

I had a short lived sense of superiority.  Now I'm just sad again.

He could just tell everybody he has lawn exactly where he intends to have lawn.

I have to laugh and cry a bit.

I was a trim carpenter on upscale homes in the desert Southwest in a previous life. 8' x 12' entrance doors (double doors), 2-3 piece base and crown moldings, walk in closets bigger than my bedroom. Definite multi-million dollar homes.

Retired now, the last thing on my to-do list is fix the warped/binding/'self opening' doors on my home. And has been the last thing on that list for 20 years :-/

Rhino, the lawn on the other side of the walk way (what little we can see of it) appears fairly lush. You don't have a larger
photo of the area do you? I thought maybe they have a demo lawn on that side, like a before and after sort of thing going on?
(wouldn't be as funny of course and a good reason to crop the photo)

Lawn looked much better back in '09, but then didn't we all. The green hose has held up well.  :)

I think that pic was in 2012 or 2013 on my way to SD bad lands area. I'm sure I just caught them on a bad day/week/month. Just thought it was kinda funny so I snapped a pic.
