There has a been a free bike wash area at every national rally I have attended. The rally hosts make it happen not the hotel.

We're home from Mt Snow.
Had a great time.
OtP Travelers are still on the road. Think they are in Michingan today....

At the banquet I was supposed to help answer questions about the 2012 National.
At the time, all I knew was,, it was going to be in Eureka Springs. (not Texas)
So, I couldn't answer many questions. Still can't....
All I know is I'll be helping out in some way.... (That Rotten Rev, "volunteered" me)....

On the other Forum the current discussion is how far Eureka Springs is from everyone.....
Guess they (the Yankee's) now understand how I feel when the Nationals are up North and I have to travel from Houston.....<evil grin>  :stirpot:

BUT,,, I think we'll have a good turnout.     I KNOW THERE WILL BE GOOD RIDING!!!

Bottom line is;
                    Everyone is welcome.. We'll talk to anyone.. (Even Ya'll Yankee's)   <grin>   :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

See ya there.

Ride safe, Ted

There is a lot of discussion going on about the 2012 National at the COG-Online Forum.
Here is the link:    http://forum.cog-online.org/index.php/topic,28559.0.html (http://forum.cog-online.org/index.php/topic,28559.0.html)

There is also a survey going on in which Bob is asking for your opinions for the 2012 National.
Here is the Link: http://forum.cog-online.org/index.php/topic,29036.0/topicseen.html (http://forum.cog-online.org/index.php/topic,29036.0/topicseen.html)

Feel free to join in the discussions!
If you want to do the discussin here... go ahead and make a Post. We'll all get into the discussion!

Good discussion going on.... but can't they do a 'simple poll' on the other website?  :(

I hope to see you all in AK, but that questionaire is brutal!  Help needed IMHO

Yea, I struggled thru the questionaire too.
Not sure why they didn't do a simple Poll, other than they can only Poll 1 thing at a time....
(Can do a 1 item Poll but not a multiple question)

What worked best for me was; copy the most recent questionaire.
Then pick your choice on each question,,, and delete the rest!!!    :thumbs:

For instance,,,,,,,,,,,
Is Ted a Genious?
   A) Heck yes
   B) Heck NO!!
   C) Sometimes he has his moments.
   D) You gotta be kidding me!!!

Hmm, my last note seemed to have stopped this discussion.
I'll give it another try.

Lets start with questions.
* Who's planning to go?
* Who has registered?
* Who has reserved room?
* Is Ted a genious?  8)
* Please tell us something that you would like to see or do that has not been done at a previous National?
Copy and add questions......

Another Thgought:
I have a special interest in (better) including people that are at their first COG National.
This includes long time COG Members that have never attended a National.

NOTE: I'm willing to take the lead in making some arrangements.
           Yes, I'm Volunteering. arghhhhh  :yikes:
           I Just don't know how to better include them?
          Please help me by sending suggestions to this thought.

PS: If needed, I will move this part of the Discussion to another Topic...

One of the COG members in Houston (Jack C) asked me who is riding up from Houston as he doeesn't want to ride alone.
I know others plan to make the ride from Down South. (or somewhere along the route)
(Looks like it will be approx 650 miles from Houston)

I saw a discussion somewhere about a group coming in from the Northwest, but nothing from the South.
Is anybody interested in hooking up for the ride up?

* Who has reserved room?Me too, also!
* Is Ted a genious? Me reserve right to judge later! ;D

Notes: Have "technically" been to a COG national indirectly. Friend and I were at Deals Gap when it was held there, but had no idea except there were bunches of "my" bike there. Learned later there was a group of like minded Concours riders with a whole interwebs thing going!

Look forward to the trip from Flatistan and meeting folks.

There is a thread Who's Attending the Nationals this year in Eureka Springs,AR? (http://www.zggtr.org/index.php?topic=6932.0) started by Frontier in which he offers to lead rides at the National.

Since I live in NW Arkansas I would welcome the opportunity to lead a ride through the most scenic areas and interesting roads we have to offer.
I think the Rally Committee will want to talk to him about helping out with ride planning.

The current word is,, all rooms are booked at the Main Rally Location. Sounds like we are going to have a really good turnout!

Luckily there are many other Motels near to Rally Central. (1 is a Motorcycle only Motel, and the prices look pretty good).

Ya'll book yer rooms!

Gonna be a blast!

Lets start with questions.
* Who's planning to go?
I plan to attend.

* Who has registered?
I have.  Or at least my money was taken by COG 'accountants'.

* Who has reserved rooms?
I have one with a great view.

* Is Ted a genius?  8)
Only if he can explain E=Mc^2 without using his Ki-Pass...

* Please tell us something that you would like to see or do that has not been done at a previous National?

 Is Ted a genius?
Only if he can explain E=Mc^2 without using his Ki-Pass...
Easy Explanation: It's FM... (Frikin' Magic!!!)
Uhh, Whuts a Ki-pass? I ride a C-10.

* Please tell us something that you would like to see or do that has not been done at a previous National?
Plastic repair tips and tricks.

Tips and Repairs made EZ: Plastic weld repairs (Cigarette Lighter), glue, bailin' wire, bubble gum, and if all else fails,,,,, Duct tape.

QUESTION: There is some discussion about having "small" led Rides for New Attendies. (New Attendies = Riders at their first National)
If this is possible, who would be interested in going with a SMALL group?
                             who would be interested in leading a SMALL group?
