Hey Bob "not so" Young. Nice to know there are some here older than me.

51 in late August.
At my 50th last summer I quoted John Melloncamp:
Well I look in the mirror, what the hell happened to me?
Whatever I had, has gone away
I'm not the young kid that I used to be
So I push the hair back out of my face
That's okay, I knew this would happen
But I was hopin' not today!
-
56 in the next few weeks.
And I look marvelous! 8)

In August I'll be 61 I'm not the oldest, good. I guess it's better then dead.

Silly women just don't understand....................

Nice!! :chugbeer: :chugbeer:
Yeah I put that in there to see if anyone would catch it. No one caught me slipping in "Titanic" in the Best War Movies thread. I'm 26.

I will be 36 in a week.

Well on the outside I am 48. But, my 48 year old friends are so damn old.
I refuse to give in (or grow up).
-
+1 That's why I quit going to high school reunions. All the others got old about 30.

I saw the titanic post, but by that point was so disappointed with thread I didn't care. You're 26? Now I'm REALLY disappointed. I thought I was the youngest one here. Boo.

This age discussion has made me wonder if the age of the person is related to the bike.
I'm 59, ride a C-10.
Others, age "and bike" please??
Ride safe, Ted

Me too, "kinda".....
I quit going to high school reunions, because all the sweet young girls from High School,,,, got old about 30. :banghead:

Well, I'm 28 and ride a 2003 C10 that I picked up cheap. My wife and I are expecting our second child (another boy, NICE!) in August, which meant I had to get rid of the Harley payment.
I've never even considered riding a "sport" oriented bike before, but I'm sure having fun with this one!
-
Just turned the big 60 on June 5th....Finally mature as a twenty year old. LOL
-
59......blanton

Pretty sure there's no correlation between ages and bike years, Ted....I think it's more of a monetary thing...some of us are in a more advantageous position than others to afford the newer years...I'm 55 and ride a '91 that I squeezed $1000 hard-earned dolllars out for....
Tim
-
I hear ya Tim.
In my case, I ain't rich but I could buy a C-14 if I really wanted one. (I could do it, but I would hafta give up eating for a year or 2)
But I (and more importantly,,, my BRIDE/Boss) prefer the C-10 because of the weather protection/creature comforts/etc....
I was a bit suprised by this discussion because there were so many that are below 45. I always assuemed that the majority of Connie Riders were over 45....
Then I realized that the younger guys might all be on C-14's...

I dislike the styling of most modern sport bikes, including the C14. I really am a cruiser guy, and the C10 is about as sporty as I'm ever likely to get. I could only afford it by selling my Harley, which, other problems aside, do hold value reasonable well, as long as you own it for at least 3 or 4 years. Long enough to get over that "drove it off the lot" drop in value.
-
39 1/2 going on 16 "says my wife and son".

Yep, I ride my 02 cause I like it.

MiniCog is around 12, so you aren't quite the youngest.

Surely you are kidding.

I might have stretched the truth a little bit, but he isn't over 17 or 18.
-
Yes he is young but he doesn't ride a Connie.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

Huh...

I'm 24. and been riding the connie for about a year now.

C-10 or C-14???
Geez, when I was 24 I was in the Navy and could barely afford a used Yamaha 350......
-
Just hit the double 4's on the 12th.
-Ride an '08 practically every day year-round and love it! (the bike, not necessarily the age)... ;D

HAHA c10, but would love to have a c14. School tuitons come first i guess :-\. Dad and me drove all the way to FL to pick her up last year. I've had about 8-10 bikes since I started riding when I was 15.
I'm very jealous of you retired older wiser guys with talk of all the old classic bikes you've owned. i'd love to have one. I love the flat seats and lines of them. They have character, now bikes are mass produced and all look the same.
-
could barely afford a used Yamaha 350......
That was the first bike I ever crashed on, I was so poor I had to borrow it!
-
29 years young.
-
62, but when people say I look younger, I tell 'em when I'm a hundred I'll only look 90...

Yea Vault, I'm 29 AGAIN too.... ;)
