Is the 08 & 09 ECU paired with the Immobilizer?

It has a smart authentication number like tire sensors etc. that needs to be registered with the Kipass ECU using KDS3.

The smart authentication number is what the manual says about it.

I did believe that the ECU's could just be swapped back and forth. Here Rembrandt  said he had done it quite a few times, but I think he somehow has his own KDS3 that he mentions elsewhere. It seems like he would know for sure.
