How do you determine if you have an A key or a B key?

I'm not sure about the A or B labeling, but if you look at this auction on eBay:

The key on the left is a Silca KW14L
The key on the right is a Silca WK14R

One of these keys will work with your C14. Most locksmiths carry these blanks on hand. Bring a saddlebag with you just in case. I paid ~$3.00 for mine.

This is the key I brought. Just match the key you have to the picture. You determine if you have A or B just look at the key there is a number, starting with A or B. I got mine from the key in the FOB.

Sounds like I need to be careful with that key. I like the idea of making knobs out of inexpensive copies to leave in the bags so I won't need to remove it exept for possibly refeuling.  BTW the black cap on that pint of Evan Williams over there looks perfect.

Betcha won't do THAT again... I think my stovepipe key has been out a couple of times in the past 4+ years...

Me too- I only took it out that one time. Well, that and the other time... and whenever I need to get into the saddlebags or need fuel.   

One time a neighbor asked me to use the stove knob key to help him pry a boulder out of his yard but I wasn't falling for that one, no how, no way. I know what could happen using that key for such a purpose- it is so weak that anything weighing more than, say, 14,000 lbs. could bend it. But I think if you just use to open locks around the bike and dont' pry things / kick it / drop it and run it over you should be OK.
