They're finally stealing ZG's thunder.

Can't wait to see if the revised ABS module will fit the existing bikes.

No real new info, but nice pics...

but invalid marketing speak like this:

"The new 2015 Concours 14 is all new with an even more sport-oriented flair about it."

99.99% the same as the 2010-2014 but it is suddenly "all new"?

"The added rear preload and newly designed front steering seal actually help make the chassis come alive."

Um, right.

"On the touring side of things a new electronically controlled windscreen"

Wow, I guess ours is manually cranked or something :)

Nice pics, though
Shoodaben (was Guhl) Mountain Runner ECU flash, Canyon Cages front/rear, Helibars risers, Phil's wedges, Grip Puppies, Sargent World seat-low & heated & pod, Muzzy lowering links, Soupy's stand, Nautilus air horn, Admore lightbar, Ronnie's highway pegs, front running lights, all LED, helmet locks, RAM Xgrip, Sena SMH10, Throttle Tamer, MRA X-Creen, BearingUp Shifter, PR4-GT, Scorpion EXO-T1200,etc

I have found over time that the writers for cycle news aren't the brightest bulbs in the box sometimes. No Clement Salvadori's working there.   I got a chuckle, when I read it too, It said, first ride, but it was just a spec review.  Nothing about how it actually rode, just what the changes were suppose to do for the ride. I think the sporty flair was referring to the bold new Green color, since Kawi never uses green. ;D ;D   Nice pics though. . .

http://www.motorcyclistonline.com/reviews/2015-kawasaki-concours14-abs-first-ride-motorcycle-review

The magazine article appears in the March issue. One big goof in the mag spec sheet though, chain drive? Plus they list the HP and torque numbers in the spec sheet as N/A even though they mention the numbers in their write up.

Thanks for the well wishes.  Freaky, but I didn't even get an adrenaline rush from the incident.  Maybe that happens with age.

FWIW, Cycle News online has a nine page test of the new C14.  Will read it tomorrow, when I have a day off...

Pretty weak write up. Homeboy acts like the bike just came out. If you don't know about the Connie already, you shouldn't be writing about it.
Thanks for the link though.

Agreed.  He spent way too much time complaining about the linked brakes.  What I don't get, is how a writer for a motorcycle magazine had never ridden a Concours 14 before.  They've only been around for eight + years now.  Sadly, even with nine pages of report, I read nothing I didn't already know, except some riders don't understand how to ride with linked brakes.

He writes like he hasn't ridden any ST bike before. Like the whole class is new to him.

That's a shame for him.  I've had a ZZR1200, Sprint 1050 ST, several RT's, and the C14.  all fun and exciting bikes to ride.  Some more sport , some more touring, but all enjoyable in their own way.  There's more to riding than just knee dragging, and hopefully he learned that from his test/ review ride.
