I miss the old board - 2 questions for the group
« on: May 22, 2011, 10:55:54 PM »
1.  What is the ohm range of the gas tank gauge?

2.  What is the thread diameter and pitch of an oil drain plug?

Thanks in advance, sorry about the dumb questions.

I believe the OHM is a 220.

Can't help you with your second question, sorry.

I believe 220 ohms is the value typically used as the correcting resistor for the fuel gauge. I don't know the range of the sending unit or the thread diameter of the drain bolt, sorry. Someone who knows or has a bike apart will be by soon...

1.  What is the ohm range of the gas tank gauge?
2.  What is the thread diameter and pitch of an oil drain plug?

1) 0-10 ohms full, 90-100 ohms empty
2) No idea, but next time I change oil...

Thanks -   0-100 ohms was one of the choices on the new digital instrument panel, so that works.  I'm going to see if it fixes the inaccuracy of the factory gage.

According to the fiche on ron ayers site, the drain plug is 12x1.5, 15mm long.

Now is a good time to install a set of magnetic drain plugs in your C-10. Just extra insurance.
