requesting input on shifter rubber replacement.
« on: May 29, 2011, 02:51:14 PM »
I've been riding my CB400F to work, which has been converted to race shift (1 up, 5 down).  After mis-shifting 47 times, I decided to convert the connie as well so I don't have to remember as much (plus I like race shift better).  I have the shifter lever built, but don't know what to cover the end with so it doesn't chew up my boots.  I was thinking plasti-dip maybe.  Anybody have any experience with this stuff, or maybe a better idea?  Thanks.

We had one guy here in Florida who actualy figured out a size of PVC that would fit over the shifter. He was providing them for the stock Connie as as an item to help with upshifting, and it did in it's mysterious, simple way.
Just a thought.
