I thought I was going to buy a convertible, but the Indian has kept me riding.

My reply above was a copy and paste from your post in my intro thread... it was meant to be a joke. I guess it looses some of it humor when I... have... to... expl... oh, never mind.   :D

Indians are nice bikes. I'm just not a fan of the retro look and fringe. Any bike that keeps you riding is good in my book!

I do like the retro look but I'm with you about fringe's.  Plus the bike is darn comfortable to ride two up.  I'm loving it.

Here's my second bike short list:

Triumph T120 Boneville
Kawi Z900
BMW R Nine T

OR

VMAX: This scratches the toy car/ muscle car itch in a nice way too. Really do not have the room for a third car presently, so I am leaning in the direction of a vmax.

I only have one bike nowadays....I've had plenty in the past, in fact the total is about  18 over the last 12 years or so,, here's some pictures of a couple of them, hope you like 'em

My current ride
:)

My H2c

H1b

Monoshock special - Kawa Triple

The stunning TZ250

Same bike with Phil Read & Myself (at the rear)  :)   )

The pretty S3A

Mind warpingly beautiful Bridgestone 350 GTO

GT 750 (Kettle / water buffalo )

And then I had an affair (short lived) with a couple of Brit Irons, well it was an itch that I wanted to scratch

Velocette Venom
   :o

BSA Gold Flash A10   :o

There have been plenty others including a good few trail and trials bikes which is where my biking really started in the early 70s, but I won't bore you all with endless pics of them.....it's abit like looking at someones holiday pictures after a while    ;)    :rotflmao:

O.C. that is an incredible group of bikes. I love those Kawasaki triples. My buddy bought one second hand in high school knowing nothing about them. We were all shocked at how fast it was.

This would be my second Gen II vmax. It's probably the most entertaining bike I have ever owned. The sound, the torque, the look and feel all collaborate to give the feeling you are atop a 426 hemi musclecar. It puts a grin on my face every time.

Not sure I prefer the all black paint scheme over last years red with polished scoops, etc. Good news is there are lots of new older models languishing. It's not a strong seller, and it's done in Europe. I would guess it's days here are numbered.

Current stable in addition to the '10 C14:

'75 Honda Trail 90 with a '10 125cc Lifan Chinese clone engine and an Igloo top case.

'07 Suzuki DR650SE

'76 Suzuki GT750 Le Mans (aka water buffalo)

Previous: First "bike" was a heavy Cushman scooter frame ('48?) that I push walked home 4 miles. I mounted a small Briggs & Stratton to it, and then quickly toasted the centrifugal clutch because I didn't have enough gear reduction on it. I should have used a jack shaft with more reduction on it but I didn't even know what that was back then. It was sort of like starting out in 4th gear using an automatic clutch. Still I got some two wheeled "mileage" (probably a couple of tenths) going up and down the alley out of it before the clutch smoked and crumbled to pieces.

..then, '66 Kawasaki 85cc J1T that I purchased from an Aldens catalog. It was an ugly maroon color and came with whitewall tires and a high mount scrambler pipe. Quite the ugly combination.
'68 Bridgestone 350 GTR, my first GTR! At the time a most advanced bike and still fondly remembered. I replaced the skinny 3.50 rear tire with a 4.00 inch tire and it then looked as fast as it was.
Then the motocross bug hit me, '67 Husquvarna 250; '72 CZ 400 ; ..and missing the pavement..'72 Suzuki GT550...
......followed by a multi decade absence from motorcycling :(.... ending in 2010.  :)

Close to talking myself into putting a deposit on this until K16 is sold.

These are me and my sons bikes, we had them out when cleaning the shop.
The VFR 1200F was added since the first pic was taken.

Wow, now that'a collection! What are your sons thoughts on the FZ10? I just read an article comparing naked bikes and they really liked the FZ10, calling it very charismatic. That's not a word often used to describe Japanese bikes.

The FZ10 is one of mine, I love it, mine has had full Graves exhaust installed along with a host of other supporting mods including a Graves tune , it is now much smoother and more powerful than stock.
I actually rode it the most this year as it is a blast on a curvy road.
The Concours 14 is still king if we are going to be in a faster or longer trip.
The VFR 1200f is also a great bike with more power than the 14 but its not as comfortable for me.

So you've got two of them??? Looking at the first pic it looks like there is one in position #6 just on the other side of the Vmax.
I couldn't get the photo large enough but it sure looks like a VFR (I don't know Hondas very well), although it seems to be missing a front rotor on the left side?

OH, and by the way, it's official Harry, I hate you and your son! (Green with envy emoticon goes here)

No, that is a Honda CBR 250, I have it for the daughter and daughter in law to ride.

Honda Grom
FZ10
R1
C14
Vmax
CBR 250
FZ1
Another FZ1
FZ6
Ninja 250
and the last two are both R6s dedicated track bikes.

Well that explains the missing rotor.  They sure tried to make it look like the VFR, but like I said I don't know Honda very well.
