Tip over bars
« on: February 12, 2016, 12:34:52 PM »
Anyone here with the RIVCO tipover bars can recommend if I can get/make the other spacers and bolts from home depot?

I just need a few extra parts...few spacers and bolts.

All I received is shown in the pic.

Yes, good advice.

I have gone to homedepot and found pipes for spacers. Just deciding between using steel or an aluminium pipe.

I have a brand new set sitting here in front of me, still in the box.  Let me know if you need a pic or anything.

Just thought I would try!!

I don't need anything just yet. Perhaps the lengths/specs of those bolts would be helpful if you have them.

The 3 sets of bolts in the pic., when you have some time. I need to hunt down these bolts at the local hardware store.

Which bolts?

2 @ 3/8 X 5 Grade 5
2 @ 3/8 X 2.75  Not sure of grade, says TVS and 10.9
4 @ 7/16 X 1 Grade 5

Do you have 4 of the little 1" bolts?

The middle pair (2.75") is likely metric since it goes into the bike. Maybe M10.

How do you (would I) know the grades? Are the grades stamped on the bolts?

They may be metric, I don't have anything to measure metric.  The grades are in the post with the sizes.
It came with 4, 1" bolts.  1 was hiding.

There's this too.

I'm thinking those are actually 10mm and 12mm bolts. Thread pitch doesn't look like Americanese.
