700 miles noodling around FL for http://tourofhonor.com/ sites.  8)
700 MILES IN A DAY ISN'T EXACTLY NOODLING AROUND.   That's some serious riding, and for a worthy cause it appears, too.

Rode to Lynchburg, TN on Sunday.  Loads  of cruisers on the town square, good for people watching.  Tried mama's new SEna SPH10 for 1/2 helmets.  Thumbs down, only good to about 30mph then wind noise made it impossible to hear each other.

Day off today.  Cat to the vet, and flea/bug man in the house.  What happens when the area never freezes.  Early bugs, especially fleas, like crazy.  Since I had to leave the house for at least four hours, may as well ride.  Easy 55-65MPH back roads, and got 45.6 MPG.  Not bad for an 08, w/o an ECO mode..  Had lunch in a small town's main restaurant, and pushed the bike 10+ MPH harder home, into a southerly wind, and still got 43.6 MPG.  It was a great day's ride for me.  Not 700 miles, like some, but fun, none the less.  Off tomorrow, and 90% chance of thunderstorms all day.  Guess I'll watch Law and Order reruns.

Hope others have a great day and a safe time riding, where ever you are... tomp

Got to ride mine to see a customer and verify fitment of a part for him. 120 miles round trip. Got back to my shop before the rain hit.  :) Later I ordered an Amplirider. Hope it gets here before I head to the San Diego area next week.

Dez, the Amplirider, after checking out google listings, is for headphone use, right?  Used CD's, MP3's, and Pandora with phones for years when riding.  Now ride with no tunes.  Miss them sometimes, as I've been a musician for 58 years now, but sometimes, listening to the engine and watching the scenery fulfills me.  Hope yours arrives in time.  tomp

I have a Sena SMH10 unit that I want to use to listen to XM. The XM unit doesn't have enough output to hear when plugged in to the Sena unit. The Amplirider should cure that. I have grown accustomed to XM and enjoy the variety available. I also really enjoy some of the "DJs" on XM. They are reminiscent of the old time FM jocks, all laid back and mellow. Few sounds more relaxing than a DJ that sounds stoned and plays some Pink Floyd.  8)

I remember KLOL, Houston radio, after midnight, playing Pink Floyd, and the DJ was stoned, but so were we.  Listening on double stacked Altec A7's  to this, my favorite from them in 1969.  For those who don't get this one, well, you're just too young to understand the times.   ;D ;D 8)  I've searched, but can't find the fly portion that came next...tp
Seems the full Ummagumma album has been pulled from youtube.  A shame, that so many will never have the opportunity to enjoy it.

Nicely done, Sir.
Thanks, been into all styles of music since the 50's.  Damn, that's a long time ago.  Sorry but hate what's on the radio today, pop, rap and country.   Stopped listening in the 80's.  Maybe my bad, but a music degree and a lifetime playing says differently... Down load this one and listen to it when riding.  I was riding back then, but had no way to listen to tunes then.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rMbATaj7Il8 great movie, too...

Not to turn this into a music thread, but one can ride a long time to this one.  Never again, never again.

Dez, a few more traveling songs for you.  I was riding a custom 1970 Montgomery Wards/Benelli 125 back then and a DT1 250, too.  2 Stroke oil?  What's that, any 30 wt would do fine....20 to 1, right???....

In the car, in her carrier box.  She's not a real fan of my riding.  Takes me away from her.  She is a jealous, fickled (NOT FARKLED) cat, yet she simply tolerates my presence most of the time...  If she doesn't shape up soon, her next vet ride will be in a pannier.  tp 8)

Now the "Royal Society of Open Sciences" says that after studying the popular music trends of the last 60 years, hip/hop and rap is the most influential music genre in history, surpassing Rock and Roll, R and B, and the British Invasion of 1964 with the Beatles, Stones, Who and Kinks. Pretty sad if true..

Gentle reminder on this thread...it's about what you did on your Concours.  A little thread creep is ok but lets try to keep this going down the path it was intended to take.

Took apart the rear of the bike.  Removed/Replaced the rubber damper in the rear wheel.  I'm going to start a new thread on that once I get the pics uploaded.

Had a 4-10 PM shift yesterday.  Easy commute there, and all the lights were green.  Ride home was in the wet, and the traffic was congested, like a work day rush hour.   The 14 handled the wet and traffic with ease.  Easy to forget it is a 700lb motorcycle.  Covered in bug guts and road muck, so a cleaning is needed today.

Jim, please post a link to the new thread here,  would enjoy seeing it.   tomp
