I have averaged around 8000 miles a year for many years.  In '08 I started focusing on really doing some motorcycle travelling since the boys were out of the house.

Here is my mileage over the last four years spread out among my bikes.  The Concours did get top mileage for '13 and '14.

22,430 miles ridden for 2014
 22,684 miles for 2013
 33,452 miles in 2012
 23,882 miles in 2011

102,448 miles

Nice! That's a lot of time in the saddle. I've been doing a little more then half that. 53,000 miles on my 2010 C14 and about another 10,000 on my DR-650.

Very nice. I feel I need to hit at least 20,000 miles per year. Having a pretty slow winter though.

How you like the Goose?

Would love to add a Griso 8V to the stable.

I wouldn't own it if it were my only bike.  It requires more attention than the Kawasaki bikes.  But, for an 800 miles at most a year bike, it is a blast!  I found it in August '14 with only ~750 miles on it.  Only brought into the states in '10, and not as 'boy racer' looking as the V7 Café Racer.  The sound is intoxicating.  The look amazing.  The ride harkens back to a simpler time where we didn't need gizmos and wind protection.  Unless I trailer it, it will never leave a 100 mile radius of my home, but that is OK because I live where there are many curvy narrow roads through the hills of middle Tennessee.

You are a man after my own heart (I'm not religious but the saying fits) Since I retired in 2010 my goal has been to ride more every year. I did good at first but then hit a plateau, finding it hard to beat 31,000! Anyway congrats to you and I would like to take advantage your thread to invite you and any other high milers here to log your miles at http://www.wfr-ridersclub.com/miles/miles.asp. We have only a handful of active participants so far and I hope to get some more. The more the merrier. On Mileage Log I go by NinjaBob. I'm in second place with 5,238 miles as of today.

When I retire I probably won't ride as many miles.  Will probably do more wrenching and trials riding as well as local riding on my smaller bikes.  With my work travel schedule I don't get to ride the 'toy' bikes as much as I would like to.

I sold my trials bike after a nasty crash and a broken shoulder requiring surgery. I am not a good dirt rider due to visual impairment. I do have a KLX250S dual sport and I put around in the nearby wildlife preserve now and then but at a slow and careful pace. I also into Kayaking a couple years back. Can't rack up many miles on a KLX or Kayak but still lots of fun.
