I'm thinking about seeing it again tomorrow. Iron Man was very good as well, but I think this is better

Pike didn't die in the old series.  I hate it when they change up stuff.  That makes me crazy.  The could have done a bit more off planet as well instead of Earth.  I'd give it a 5 out of 10.

And wasn't it Kirk that yelled Khan in the original one not Spock?  :-\

Well, try to remember, it's a completely new timeline.

I saw it in 3D yesterday. Deffo enjoyed it.
I did complain about Pike though. Even though living in a chair beeping at people isn't much of a living. ;)

I know and I say....how  :censored: convenient.  Doesn't make it right.

And that's not me with a wig.  The belly is about right, though.  There's a reason I don't wear those kind of shirts.

Yeah, but think about the Doctor Who crossover possibility.  Pike as the first Dalek...   :o

As a trekky nerd since I sat goggling at it as a sprog i have to say I gave up after Janeway ('cept 7 of 9.... :P) and some of the new movies were honestly sh#t. The last Star Trek with the new boys in it left me cold. Too much action and a stupid plot.  I just wait for it to come on the TV now.   Its lost its way! But thats just my tuppence worth....or a nickel...

I liked it. JJ Abrams has done a good job resurrecting the franchise. Building a completely new time line is genius IMHO. This wasn't so much a "Wrath of Khan" redo but the original series Khan episode redo. I think the new actors have done a stellar job of portraying young versions of the original characters. Especially Zachary Quinto.
