Kawasaki Ninja H2
« on: March 06, 2017, 10:59:09 AM »
What do you guys think? of course it's not a commuter bike, but if you had the money unexpectedly handed in to you, and needed it for nothing else: would you get one?
Hypothetically, of course...  :stirpot:

Well, YES.

Though, I'd almost prefer a mint 'old' H2.   Reminiscing, I guess..

For that kind of money I would have to look at alternatives such as an HP4. But I would never buy any full on sport bike as I find them just too uncomfortable to ride for more than a few minutes.

Funny how 50 years helps soften how bad bikes sucked back then.

...Funny how 50 years helps soften how bad bikes sucked back then...

Yeah - probably mostly nostalgia...  (And someone will say the same thing about the Concours in 40 - 50 years)

Admittedly, they weren't really good at anything but straight line running, but the rush of a that 2-stroke 750 hitting the powerband was a thing of beauty - hard to beat (at least until I got my first fuel injected bike...)

Took one for a spin last fall, and it still made me smile...

Don't under-rate the value of nostalgia...  Look at all the cafe and retro bikes coming out now. (though most are FI..)

I'd also like to get another old bike I owned - a 1983 CB1100F - not the greatest, but my first 'new' bike, and I loved it...  Must be some kinda mid-life crisis thing...
