MC specific filters tend to be lower quality than car versions while tending to cost more, including the Chinese-made Kawi contract one.  I've read a few dissection articles and the K&N is usually good but Purolator came out consistently near the top along with Mobil, you just need to find one with the right relief valve pressure.
Kawi spec is 12-15 psi relief and the Purolator PL14459 matches that and has the same M20x1.5 thread so I settled on that several years ago since I have another bike and car that uses the same.  They also make the PL14610 and 14612 which are slightly longer, same threads, but have a 14-18 psi relief.  I get the PL14459 for about $6-8.

Isn't the OD too large to get a proper seal with the one you use?  i've been using the PL14610 for the last eight years with no issues but the relief valve may cause issues I'm not aware of yet?  They seem to work well filtering wise and the price is good too!

The gasket is identical, just the outer casing is larger diameter.  No seal problem.  I switched because of the larger oil capacity and the closer match to the stock pressure differential.

Another option is the hiflo 303rc about $5 cheaper than k&n and has the nut for easy off.
