Yeah, I realized that it was a "mistake" when I was unable to keep up with a friend's ~650 on a 1200. Not to mention I replaced 3 sets of floorboards in 2 years trying to ride it like a sports bike.

Thank you. Of all the bikes  I have owned it is still my favorite. I have.only had the Connie for 2 weeks. So we are still getting to know each other.
