C-14 Shock Setting for C-10
« on: January 13, 2014, 04:03:34 AM »
I just completed installing a C-14 shock install on my 1997 C-10.  It was very straightforward and practically a straight bolt-up after scouring this and COG's forums.  My questions is, what have other people that have installed this mod on their C-10 used for setting on the preload and rebound damping?  I found the old shock to bottom out more often than what was comfortable with my girlfriend and I driving two up with the old shock's damping pulled out the whole way.  I found setting based on C-14 riders but I don't know if the C-10 will be significantly different or not.

keep in mind that the c-14 shock is softer on the c-10 due to difference in the rocker geometry. That changes the settings. I found that rebound was best at 1/2 turn from all the way out. HTH, Steve
