"The Homecoming", its actually the pilot episode of the Walton's TV show, its a great movie. We also just got "The House Without a Christmas Tree", its from 1972, Emmy award winning TV movie with Jason Robards as a bitter widower raising his 10 y/o daughter alone in rural Nebraska 1946.

Technically, it's about Thanksgiving, but "Plane, Trains, and Automobiles" is a great one, too.

P,T, & A SHOULD be a Christmas movie. It just kills me. Reminds me of all the problems I used to have when I was a traveling sales rep.

Otherwise: It's a Wonderful Life and Charlie Brown Christmas are 1 & 2.

Muppet Christmas Carol - we traditionally watch it the weekend following Thanksgiving.  I love all the asides and quips in the movie.

That's the start of the Christmas season for me.

I'll start with Christmas Vacation and the original Die Hard.

I'm watching the original Die Hard right now, a true Christmas classic and must see this time of year!  :) :chugbeer:

Serious version - Patrick Stewart as Scrooge in A Christmas Carol (Made by TNT, hard to find on DVD)
Humorous versrion - it's hard to beat the Muppets Christmas Carol And Scrooged

Polar Express has been a favorite since I first saw it.

Where the red fern grows.  If you haven't read the book or watched the movie, you should.  Great show for the kids as it contains many of lifes lessons.  The dogs are big part of the show, but the family values is the core of the story.
