The tribe beat the jays, just now... and are off to play the world series against the cubs. (Hopefully....).... awesome....
My team has been amazing me thru the division finals and today made it worth it....
Yah, joke all ya want, they truely are a force to contend with....
Best part, is one team, of the two, that has been in a dought for decades, will finally get the big prize....
I love both teams... but man, Cleveland is ROCKING right now....

Gonna be a nippy Series. Both teams are from cold weather country. Been waiting for the Cubs to get to the WS for all of my 52 years. Can't cheers for the Indians, but I hope for good games.

Not rabid but gotta pull for the Cubbies. So many years watching WGN with my grandaddy in the early days of cable. It was a marvel to pick up Cubs and Braves games almost everyday living in rural Louisiana. watching the teams come out now. Just be a fan of America and baseball. Everyone is smiling and having fun on the field. The stadium looks beautiful. Modern classic managers in the dugout. Both teams are underdogs so pull together and have fun watching.

I didn't think that I was that old, but I remember as a little kid rooting for the Cardinals because they were the closest team to north Texas. Well, I guess except for the Houston Colt 45's expansion team that later changed their name to the Astros when the Astrodome opened.

I haven't given up yet. But I've just been waiting for the other shoe to drop all playoffs long. I thought the Cubs would be good this year, never expected them to be in the Series so I think it's a win season :)

No matter who takes it, there is great baseball being played... by both teams...
I just don't think my heart will make it thru a 7 game full blown series....

Nothing better in baseball than a 7th game in the World Series. Cubs must win tonight, I'm rooting for them all the way.
This has been a great series so far, some outstanding baseball by both teams (pitching has been amazing).

A close game could be almost any score. 1-2 or 10-11 or whatever. It just depends on the pitching and what's going on in the field. And of course the batting.

A buddy of mine has two tickets for the 2016 World Series for all Wrigley Field games. Box seats plus airfare, accommodation, etc., but he didn't realize when he bought them that this is going to be on the same day as his wedding - so he can't go.
If you're interested and want to go instead of him, it's at St. Peter's Church, in Chicago, at 5 p.m. Her name's Louise. She's 5'4", about 125 lbs, good cook, makes $130,000 a year! She will be the one in the white dress.

Haven't had Tee-Vee since the OJ chase, radio is on NPR, and my internet news source says Neiman-Marcus is selling frozen collard greens for $66 + shipping (4 - 12 oz. trays, with bacon).
I hear the game is a nail biter though :) GO CUBS!

Have you ever played Cricket or Rugby Conrad....? ;D ;D Just kidding. We did play "softball" at primary school, but never serious, or with any major rules. The field was loaded with about 20+ fielders, as it was out "PT" period... Think ya'll call it "Phys-Ed".
A "Hiding" in rugby would be a score difference of 30 points or more. A converted penalty gives you 3 points, a try 5 points, and the try conversion and additional 2. (so a converted try = 7points).
Back to the Baseball, I see the Cubs & Indians are tied at 3-all..... when is the final game?

As I said, both teams desrved the venue, and the fanfare, and my hat is off to the Cubs, great game...
Anyone that followed the series, and watched this had to agree, it would come down to the last posible point.
Kudos to the Cubs.... now we prepare for next year.....

So much tension, I could hardly stand it. Rain delay and extra innings. I was up WAY past my bedtime.
The Indians gave it all they had and so did the Cubs. Now THAT'S how you play the game. It was a thing of beauty.

If the fans didn't get their money's worth during this series, they need to have their head examined. I would have been happy for either team winning, but have to admit a little happier it was the Cubs.

I caught a bit of the parade yesterday....estimated 5 million people lined the streets. It was unreal. Even down here in TN I see a lot of Cubs jerseys and ball caps. But I'm a midwetern transplant and the Cubs will always be my team. My poor nephew married a Cardinals fan. Poor girl. She's cute but not too bright ;D
