Battery maintenance
« on: June 27, 2013, 01:51:52 PM »
I needed to pull out my battery this morning so that I could replace the 7.5 amp battery tender fuse with a 15 amp fuse so that I can use the same connector for my Slime compressor.

It's been awhile since I've had the battery out so I wasn't entirely surprised to see a bunch of corrosion on the negative terminal. Plus the battery connections weren't all that tight. I cleaned her all up, applied some contact preservative, change the fuse out and Connie's good to go. I didn't strip out the battery door bolts either.  ;)

If you haven't checked on the condition of your battery terminals in a while I would HIGHLY suggest doing so. It seems there have been several threads lately with folks having issues that are related to their battery connections...
