The Knocks & Muna

And let's not forget this ear worm...

https://youtu.be/emOKaGi8u5U

Ever had a song give you goose bumps.  This one from CSN&Y always does for me.  Actually went and visited Kent State some years back to see where it happened...

Thank God for those protesters.  Saved me from going to Vietnam.  Was going to join the AF instead of being drafted but the war was winding down by the time I got out of HS.  Registered for Selective Service in preparation but the draft got canceled.  My dad was sent there and I do support all the veterans that served in that conflict as well as his 20 years of AF and Army service.  It's a shame that they were not treated well back in civy life when they came back from there.  The vast majority of them had no choice in that war.

Here's another one taken out of context by a Jean manufacturer some time back.  I used to cringe every time I heard it as that's not what CCR intended for the meaning of it.

I miss the late 60's and early 70's groups.... :'(   And no, I haven't been drinking.   Too early in the morning.

Hmmm..startin' to worry about you V'Jim...first the Indian...then the sale of the C14 and now....Knocks & Muna? Really?...you're just yankin' our chain right?

CCR is good choice though, don't worry 'bout commercial use of the music since they gotta pay royalties which generally means
it has the bands approval. Also serves to help the youngin's get exposure to good music that they might not ever know/hear about.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I sorta got in a rut here but I enjoyed being in it wearing headphones:

https://youtu.be/KResg5Orl9M  Granted this one might be an acquired taste, but if you don't like it, then it serves well to make the others sound even better.

https://youtu.be/guKoNCQFAFk

https://youtu.be/lnXLVTi_m_M

That last one was a big surprise for me. I recall as a kid walking past the living room while my parents watched The Ed Sullivan show on Sunday night
on our black and white 19" TV and it often seemed that the "Fat Lady" (that's what I called Ella in my head)  or the "sweaty guy" (Satchmo) were
on coming through the 4" monotone low def side speaker sounding pretty much like awful old people music to me.
Listening to these two together through even medium quality headphones was an ear opening delight. (YOMV)

Love Jazz and 60's Rat pack....Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Sammy Davis Jr....

Great music....too bad they don't make that anymore.  Thank God we got the recordings still.

Used to see Louis Armstrong on Mike Douglas all the time.  What a great person he was.

I enjoy good music whatever the genre.  I still like what I like but have an open mind to other music.   Like American Bandstand...I like the beat and can dance (haha) to it, I like it.

I am drinking now, though...

What am I listening to right now? The sound of a 640T servo press running at about 62 SPM (Strokes per Minute), working the late shift, supplying VWSA with blanks for the Volkswagen Polo. :banghead: Roughly the same speed the emoji is banging it's head against the wall.... ( we seriously need a "facepalm" emoji )
