Darth Vader can now make the jump to light speed
« on: November 11, 2017, 03:35:12 PM »
Spotted this beauty when I stopped by the dealer. I have to admit, this bike looks really good all blacked out. Reminds me of my Buick GN. Maybe when the K16 gets sold I can convince the wife.

I remember an article by Nick Ienatsch a long time ago in either Motorcyclist of Cycle World talking about the V-max waaaay back in the day.  He had tested it on some road course they used back then and said something like “I saw Jesus so many times I started using him as a brake marker”. Hysterical!!

I remember that article as well, it was hilarious as you said. Reminds me of winter 1989 when my father and I both bought brand new red vmax's. We rode together very often, even trailered them out east and rode them through the Blue Ridge Mountains.

I have owned 4-5 vmax's over the years. It's probably my favorite bike. No bike has ever produced smiles like the vmax.
