What's next?

I have 3 in garage. Need to thin out a little.
-
??? 3 c14s?
-
No 3 bikes 2 GL1800's and a C14. Plus the insurance on the c14 is way to expensive. I have a new GL1800 that is worth twice as much as the C14 and the insurance on the C14 is twice as expensive.

What kind of DS rear tyre you running?
GLWS!

I keep hearing they are going to stop building these bikes because of low interest and lack of sales. I starting g to see why. I can't even get anyone to make an offer. The only person that has been sending me anything about buying this bike is a Scammer from LasVegas.

Your price is very reasonable (excellent even) considering all of the upgrades. I’m betting it’ll sell in the spring, when riders start getting the itch.
-
Thanks. I hope spring comes soon. Looking out the window at snow, not looking much like riding weather.

The bikes that I have owned and sold have never sold when I wanted them to for the amount of $$$ that I wanted. Ever. Even though I was fairly certain that my asking price was reasonable. The same went for cars and trucks that I had.
Your asking price seems to be in the ballpark. I understand your frustration tho. When I sold my machines I was also letting go of the emotional attachment - which was immeasurable in terms of dollars and cents.
Is it listed in other areas? Craigslist, sportbikeclassifieds ?
-
I had it on Craigslist but that is big joke. Bunch of phone # from Las Vegas come up every day. Have it listed couple other places just no interest in it right now.
-
Final price reduction. I cant do any more. $6,000

I have never sold a bike, except to family or friends, so my experience is null. However, in central Illinois in November?? Starting just before the holiday shopping time? I think what you're experiencing is what should be expected. Take it off the market until at least until March, then raise the price $500-$1000. While you are waiting, remove and sell farkles here or on ebay. I just drove through central Illinois a couple days after Christmas, when I left Chicago it was -2 F, by the time I got out of the heat island effect of the city and down around Bloomington it was -16 F! Not when most (if any) are shopping for a motorcycle.
Best wishes for a sale.

^^^ I agree
I grew up in your neck of the corn fields. This time of year it's all about sleds, snow plows, and staying warm! Wait until the tax returns start coming in and raise the price back up. Good luck with the sale either way.
-
Update. The bike has the 2 new tires mounted. Stickers still on tires. Tax season here so money is out there. $6,000 for this beautiful low mileage bike with all the extras I have for a Concours. Parts, oem take offs, service manual, saddlebage liners. Come and get it.
-
I also would consider a trade on this bike. Prefer a 2004 black or 2006 blue 1000 Connie
-
As of today bike has 11,000 miles ands a brand new set of tire with the stickers still on them. I moved bike from storage shed to garage. Weather forecast id mid 60's next Saturday. If someone wants it with brand new tires you better hurry, Spring is coming but I still holding price down to $6,000 winter clearance.

Congrats on the sale. It was a smokin’ deal.

I just need to get a break in the weather I guess. The new owner very happy. I am retired and now down to 2 bikes. I think that will be plenty. I will still stick around here. I don't think I will ever buy another 1400. But!!! if a super deal came up on a 06 blue or 04 black 1000. It would be tempting.
