Rear drive oil LS?

Sorry for an oil thread. Is a LS (Limited slip } rear drive oil bad for the C-14 drive????

Look for the designation GL-5.  If it has that, then you are good.

You should be ok with it but I haven't stayed in a Holiday Inn Express lately.

Mobil 1 Syn Gear Lube LS 75W-140 meets or exceeds the requirements of the following industry specifications: API GL-5

So it claims to:
Meet or exceed the highest level of performance requirements of many modern passenger vehicles – including limited slip applications.

It seems this would be fine just though I would ask the collective.

75w-140??   140 seems a bit thick.  I've been using the 75w-90 for 10 years without any issues at all.

115 degrees out here at times... Just for the summer then I will switch to 75-90 or that was my plan.

Manual says 90w above 41F.  I really think 140 is a bit thick but that's up to you.
