Hole plugs
« on: July 15, 2011, 12:57:48 PM »
I needed to plug some holes left by the PO so a quick trip to Lowe's for two chrome 1-1/2" hole plugs and a bag of vinyl shutter pegs and voila. I don't think it looks too bad.

Sounds like an opportunity for Murph. 4 Plugs from Lowe's in a zip lock for $4.98, $3.50 for shipping. Happy customer + Murph.

Sounds good to me. I even tried the hardware stores first, and have the exact same (from Lowes) stainless caps over my bar extensions. I never thought of the vinyl shutter plugs, great idea! all the hardware stores had the chrome caps, but they don't cover the entire head of the allen bolt, just the hole itself. They are intended for use with chrome or stainless hardware.
