Murph,

Do we use the original washers that came on the bike from the factory as well or just yours?  Thanks

Got a reply from Murph Via Email, just use what he sent and nothing from the original setup.

Got it! Took all of 30 minutes to install. This is much nicer.

Thanks Murph!

The books say a Din 10.9 is 24 ft lbs dry.. Id go with a little  242 lock tite ( any brands "removeable" thread locker) and be happy at  14 to 20 Ft Lbs..Oh   and the  ( semi) sexy bolts are here...

Using Murphs suggestion for pressing in the new bearing/spacer stack, the removal of the old shifter sleeve/bolt, pressing in of new bearing/spacer stack, and reinstall of the shifter was a sub-10 minute process.  Shifter is rock solid now.  No play.

I installed mine today....old style "non-sexy" bolt, but no biggie. Bearings fit the shifter perfectly. Slightly more pressure than fingers needed to push them in place, but not much more.  The bike shifter well before, but is amazing now.  The play from the lever is gone.

Got the shifter, and got it installed.
Love it!!!

I thought the notchy shifting was me being lazy...
pulled the shifter, cleaned and lubed, and it was better.

Got Murphs bearinged up shifter...
and it is significantly better than a cleaned and lubed.

Shifting is much more precise, and "cleaner".

No dissappointment here!!!

Amma' remind you all (Murph) that I was the one that mentioned I HAAATE sourcing parts.  I suggested that someone (ahem, Murph!) should get on the bandwagon and charge us for sourcing the parts...  I now give you:

BRILLIANT IDEA # 2

Murph, you need to obtain high quality vinyl decals for your shop, with your logo and URL on them.  I'll run them on my SUV and on my bike(s).

That is all.

I installed mine yesterday. The install went smoothly, simple, just the say I like it. I didn't get a chance to try it out yesterday cuz I was having a few beers while I was working on the bike. I won't be trying it today either, it's storming at the moment.

The shifter feels nice and solid though.

I printed it out poster-sized and hung it up in my garage with my Snap-on calendar.
