Aug COG on 'QUE R-t-E in the Buckeye
« on: July 26, 2013, 04:26:41 PM »
What:   COG on 'Que R-t-E
When:  Sunday, August 18th, 2013
Where: Belly Busters Q Ashland, Ohio 44805
Who:    anyone that rides!
Time:   12:45p.m.

Now the particulars: http://www.bellybustersbbqdining.com/menu.htm

Well worth the ride! This is some pretty darn good 'que!

*note* the place is easy to miss. It's on the east side of the building hidden from street view.

You're prolly wonderin' why a Wolverine is hosting a R-t-E down in the Buckeye???   :yikes:
Because there's a LOT less potholes  to deal with once I cross the state line, about 1/2 hour to the south.  :banghead:
Plus the GOOD roads are only 3 hrs. away vs. the 4-5 hrs. I have to travel to get to the mildly decent roads of n. Michigan. Also, a lot of times heading south pretty much guarantees that I won't need my jacket liners either!  :stirpot:

I'm not sure I can make it, but if everything falls into place, I may just meet you up there, Dean.  Reviews for the BBQ are great and prices look to be reasonable.  Plus, I have an out of the way, backroads route that will be a nice morning ride that will take me 3.5 hours to get there (1 hour via slab).

While I don't have a clue who's riding down from the Wolverine to attend, There'll be 5 of us riding up from our lodging for the weekend at Burr Oak SRP.  Our tentative ETD from the park is 9 am or thereabouts.

Reserved one of the 7 person cottages today......

And YES, there's a couple more of the 5 person cottages available yet 8)

Glad to hear it!

  • Well, looks like the weather is supposed to be excellent
  • Had to move the Burr Oak weekend into September, so if anyone from the Wolverine wants to tag along, I'll be heading out from my home(48915) around 9 a.m. & taking the roads less travelled, once I get past T-town... Shoot me a pm...

Being that I'm probably one of the closest ones to this event (30 miles) I should probably try and make it. Got to see what mamma has planned.

Strawboss, BillHook, ConcoursZG, Stasch, Stripes, & myself had an enjoyable ride to some awesome food. Great day to be out riding!

Pictures courtesy of ST.net member Jason (Stripes) who tagged along with us too on his K1600GT
Full "bull session" in process.... Yes, that's MISTER Strawboss with the green shirt! ;>))

Quick stop on the way there

Need to have a R-t-E to this ice cream stand & have the whole group share that 5ft banana split!

Thanks for organizing it all Dean, as always had a great time meeting new friends and catching up with old ones, friends that is, not friends that are old. ;D
