Rode up to Wichita for granddaughter's birthday party then across MO and KY to visit friends and ride with some buddies in NC and TN. Stopped in Bardstown on the way and toured the Heaven Hill Bourbon Heritage Center. Slightly disappointed as the distillery is no longer there, they only have the barrelling, ageing and bottling plants there since the original distillery burned down. But mde up for it in the tasting room where I got to taste some $150 a bottle bourbon.
Rode some great roads out of Bardstown to NC and then spent 4 days riding with friends. Roads were great, leaves were beautiful and weather perfect until the last day riding home, light to moderate rain from Birmingham AL to Laurel, MS.
3100 miles total.

Nice pics.
Heaven Hill fire in '96 was impressive. 4 million gallons of whisky burning. :'(

Woodford is neat. Do they still do the 'picnic on the porch'? Next tour, try Maker's Mark. Last I recalled, Wild Turkey didn't have a tour on Saturdays, and Beam only had a visitor center, but no tours. THat was years ago, though. Still some great area to explore :)

There's a Bourbon Trail now. The young couple in the pic had done 6 tours in 2 days.
