I have the AST lowering kit. And its perfect for.my ading knees.  The only modification i cAn remember for their kit was cutting the chrome heat shield.  Easy peezy.....   the shifting side required just a small adjustment in length and the brake side retains the stock location to the peg.... the whole assembly is lowered as a unit.   I have size 12 boots and yes u will have to remember to put ur toes on the pegs in the corners...

I recall seeing another mod on his video.  Flattening out a rounded part, I forgot which one.  Easy peezy for you is likely difficult spificult for me. I don't do metal cutting or like permanent alterations.  Like the rabbi said, once cut, no going back.

In the UK I wear a size 15UK but in the USA I take a 16EE shoe (measured in Nike store, ECCO, North Las Vegas in Aug 2010).
I actually have a 15.5 left foot and 15 right foot (UK sizes) but most size 15UK/50EU shoes fit OK with the left feeling a little tight.
When I get to the US it's great as I can visit a regular sneaker shop and get really comfy shoes, where here in the UK I have to visit specialist BigMan stores or order online and return those that don't fit.
Hardest was always motorcycle boots, but recently the manufacturers seem to be waking up to people with big feet.
My last pair were Alpinestars Andes (good) and current pair are Held Annone (excellent but SNUG!).
I cannot wear thick socks with any of my footwear.

I met someone years ago with size 21 feet. Made mine look like kids feet <LOL>.
He was 7'2" and had HUGE hands. He was a basketball coach and ex-basketball player.

Hahaha... I went to a site for police supply, Galls.com. They have cop boots that go way up in sizes (I guess that is why they used to be called flatfoots) and are pretty cheap (under $100 USD). Anyway, most comfortable boots ever, and so far, indestructible. After trying one pair, I bought 2 more pair (one backup and one taller ankle size). My Milwaukee brand boots were more expensive, wore out completely (hole in bottom), and the zipper broke after a year.

Yes, I can usually find sneakers, but everything else end at size 13.  Forget about off-the-shelf clothing.

BTW, I ordered AST 2" pullback risers last Thursday, and they were in my Mailbox on Saturday.  I installed them (great instructions and video) and I was shocked how 1) Solid they were, 2) how close they match OEM paint, 3) how well machined they were and 4) that the bike really has that much cable slack one you unclip those hard to reach plastic ties. New riding ergos are spectacularly improved. Could not be happier.  Now, I am just waiting for that Sargent seat I ordered.  The bike crushes my nuts against the tank, and after a short time it is unbearable.  I don't know how anyone with a pair can use that stock seat.

Hey Joe, in case you are still interested in lower pegs. The oem pegs bolted to the lowering brackets are not for sale, just too lazy to unbolt them. I think the metal pegs are from a Buell.

I am a bit confused. The pegs in your pic don't seem to lower, are those 2 sets for sale? I was going to order the pegs with the lowering bracket. One online review noted that the bracket moved the peg out, away from the bike a bit. Do you notice that?

Also, were you able to adjust the foot brake and shifter enough to compensate for the lower pegs?

The Buell (metal) pegs are around 1" lower and the OEM pegs with the lowering brackets are about 1.5" lower but they do move your feet outwards about 0.5".
Yes, you can adjust the brake lever enough for use with these pegs. Adjusting the gear lever is easy.

I think Boomer is close. The way I remember it the Buells only lower 7/8 inch and the adapters 1 and 1/4 inch.

OK, thanks guys.  I am going for the adapters, I think I need the maximum room. BTW, I ordered the Sargent seat, and it came in 4 days. However, it was worse than stock.  It was torture after 5 minutes.  I am returning it tomorrow. So nice that they give a return option.  I guess I will have to go with the Corbin. I tested that one at nearby dealer, and it was great. However (long story) one guy didn't know that a bracket had to be removed and was forcing it on (it did not go on - he gave up) and he scratched a protective mat under the seat.  I had to make another trip before another guy figured out that the 1st guy did not read the directions about removing the bracket.  So, I asked for a discount on the $618 seat, that I will pick up, and they had in stock.  The sales guy just said a flat out no way.  After having me make 2 trips and messing up a new bike with 50 miles on it, I figured they would be a bit more understanding. So, I will likely get it tomorrow, but give their customer service a bad review.
