Hello from Massachusetts
« on: December 23, 2013, 07:48:21 PM »
Hi guys. I'm glad to see this section has been added to the forum :).

I'm Kevin. My first bike was a Rupp minibike, back in the late '60s, then a Honda Z50, then I went on to thrash a variety of dirt bikes for years. My history with street bikes has been spotty, but I've been on the road steadily for about 13 yrs now. I picked up a '99 C10 a few months back, low mileage, well cared for, but suffered minor damage in a low speed drop. It's the second Connie I've owned.

I've worked in residential construction since the early '80s, and have been a gearhead pretty much my whole life. I'm looking forward to giving my Connie some TLC, and I can see this forum is an excellent resource. Kudos to all of you who have made it what it is.

I thought you were a Coloradan Rick. So you talk with that same funny accent we all use, more or less?

Wow, you guys are both pretty close by. Rick, you're about 15-20 minutes from here. I have a friend who lives right near the old Jeep dealership in Duxbury. I imagine that's really close to where you are.

Ah-yuh. Park tha car in Harvard Yard, put the keys in the drawerr.

Dad was from there, moved to MN for job after WWII. His sister moved up to Brunswick, ME; the rest never learned about cars/trains/planes... My roots are from MA, back to 1600's. Mayflower, Gov. Winslow, Daniel Webster, ... Know what a jug handle is, a rotary, and know how to bear left! ;) But I never acquired a taste for coffee with MILK.

CO is current home, but I have my spot in MA when that time...

Careswell St. just E of the pond on the N. Get to Ocean, turn back ~1/4 mile and bear right at the second drive, it's gravel, and narrow.

Used to farm cranberries in the day, pretty well grown over now. Could see the cape from the front yard on a good day. Now McMansions and fences for neighbors.

Paperwork is done up to my father. There's a million of them now, and the fee is a bit much.

Interesting Rick, I never suspected. You use 'R's and everything when writing. :-)  At least you know what to do with that snow in Colorado!

My people don't go back nearly that far; I think the earliest ancestors I have in the new world is mid to late 1800's.
