How do I adjust my '12 Connie's mirrors?
« on: June 23, 2012, 03:38:27 PM »
Bought this back on the 16th of this month brand new.  Mirrors are out of whack for me.  I've tried finger pressure to the point it feels as if the glass will break and the mirror's don't move at all.  The housings both look in great alignment.  I'm just a standard height guy at 5'11"  What am I missing?

After driving/riding for 40 plus years I feel stupid having to ask this.

Don't you noobs ever read the manual?  The electric mirror controls are on page 17.

Gotcha!  :)

The C14 mirrrors are a bit stiff.  This is good, because they stay adjusted until you let someone else pilot the bike.  It might be easier using both thumbs at first, but by the time you get good at it, you won't "ever" need to do it again.

Okay, had me going for a moment since I have read the manual.  Went and tried the two finger treatment and yup, it finally moved.  Like I said I felt stupid asking the question.

I had a guy look at my 09 thats for sale yesterday, he tried to adjust the mirror glass and asked the same thing you did. I told him you just have to push hard.
