Gettin an itch for a new Connie, are they getting close to asking prices or are folks able to get any savings from the MSRP?

well heres what I do. every bike I ever got I got as last years left over.  so if you don't have to have the newest bike you can save big money and still have a new bike.

got my 09 c14 in 2010 for just under 10g out the door.  the one before that was an 06 kawi vulcan 1600 classic I got in 07 for about $8600 out the door.

2010, 2011, 2012 no differences except for color right?

Not sure about the "Arabian Red" for 2012, I need to see it in person as it looks brown in all the pics I've seen.

Black is black, and was available in 2011 I've already located a couple of them. I am partial to blue (my beloved 2001 was blue  :'() would like to find a new 2010 leftover and have full three year warranty, but best I've found is a used one with only 5000 miles. Asking price is a bit high ($12,999), not sure how much they will move on it, but it looks like I can get a 2012 and full three years of warranty for another $600.

We'll see what happens in the next week or so...

Lone, I didn't like the red til I saw it in person. I'm partial to the '11 silver myself, which I didn't expect to like at all but fell in love with when I saw it.

2012 - $13,655 plus any local taxes and DMV fee's if you have a dealer close to you who participates in the Costco Powersport program. Then Costco kicks in a $250 gift card back to you after you complete short survey.

The Arabian Red looks like root beer to me. Pretty, but absolutely more brown than red.

I see them advertised for $12,999 for new 2012s a couple states away. It is funny. I have a 2010 Blue and can't wait for another color.  I just put 28,000 miles on it in the past year and a half. I am looking to buy a 2011 0r  2012 in the near future. I don't know how new you are looking for. I like the silver the most.

I've heard it said on here the '11 silver is really tough to find now.

I do agree the 'arabian red' should be called 'arabian brown with a tinge of red thrown in'.

The 2011 sliver is my favorite choice.

Looking into the Costco program. Seems like the best price around, but not sure about the color choices. Maybe I will just hang on to the VFR and se what the 2013 colors are...

Out of state is doable, but would need to be a screaming deal for the hassle.
