Enough work for one week - need to ride it for a bit
« on: April 15, 2015, 07:40:51 PM »
So having bought the bike with the broken and damaged plastics, I found myself needing to remove the mid and lower front and the tail, but when I bought the bike, it came with a whole, but different colored tail.  Soooo....time to rattlecan the bike!  I haven't done the tank yet because it has 5 gallons of fuel in it.   Gloss black and hammered bronze (looks more silver than bronze)

I got a lock / clasp for my luggage bag, so it sits safely on the bike now.

I chopped the tail, but haven't made it pretty yet.

Next week I paint the tank, cut the windshield down 4-6 inches, relocate the coolant reservoir under the seat, and build a mount for a trunk I ordered.

After all that... pegs lowers and handlebar risers, most likely - maybe a set of highway pegs too???  Depends on how much time I have to fab up the mounts and pegs.
