Fairing support

It looks like I have too much play in the main fairing support.  This is one of those projects I hoped to avoid until winter but...
If someone could help with the information on repairing this common problem I would appreciate finding the info again.

It kinda depends where it is loose at. A common place is the fairing stay that is welded on the front of the steering neck.
