I've been on involuntary vacation since Nov 20. I hope this isn't retirement but it could turn out that way.

You got me there. My last official day of work is 12/31 with my first official day of retirement being 1/1/14. Happy New Year to me!

We close down for the holiday break (with pay) 12/20 to 1/1 back to work on 1/2 (not me though!).

Not sure I'd qualify.  Retired USAF, but not old or well off enough to retire completely.  Though with all this crap going on in washington, it might be a lot ooner than I'd like.

That's more than just ok with me!    :chugbeer:

The boss told me yesterday that he was planning on sending us all home at lunch time today but if the weather turns out as crappy as the weatherman said it might, don't even bother coming in at all. The roads are covered in ice this morning and that sounds pretty crappy to me.

Heck, I just send an e-mail man! I told him what the roads are like and that's that.

An appropriate day for an old squid to retire....  good luck with the final retirement, hope that works out for you.
