Hello from Eustis, FL
« on: February 17, 2014, 06:53:20 AM »
I just sold my 2004 Yamaha FZ1 to my future brother in law and bought my new 2011 (0 miles) Concours 14 and I am picking it up this afternoon. I am super excited about this new mc and I can't wait to get lost on the open roads with it.

Welcome Slacker, do you pronounce the 's' in Concours or leave it silent?  :)

You are incorrigible (word of the day), Gary.  Give the guy a few minutes to acclimatize why don't you...

Slacker, we don't care how you pronounce it, although most right thinking people pronounce the 's'...

I always use to pronounce it with the "s", then the salesman at the dealership kept correcting me, saying it was concour. So needless to say I am a little confused, so I will just call it a connie from now on.  8)

Hey Slacker, welcome.

And I know right where Eustis is. I and another Floriduh Steve live next door in Tavares. (I'm on the map on my profile)

Your first name wouldn't be Steve, by chance?

BTW, COG, Concours Owners Group, is quite active in mid Florida.

Membership is appreciated, but never required, at all Florida events, all are quite welcome.

This is our next little get together.

http://www.cog-online.org/clubportal/EventDisplayNew.cfm?clubID=1328&EventID=197963&mo=3&tDate={d%20%272014-03-17%27}

There are usually about 50 riders in attendance. If you want, hook up with us for the ride over. It will give you a chance to see what kind of Farkling others have done to the C-14. Plus you get to be the new guy. ;)

PM me if ya want.

Regardless, welcome aboard.

Later, SteveJ.

Thanks, I will definitely look into joining COG, love riding in groups. My brother in law (just sold him my Fz1) is a new rider and also lives in Tavares. Looking forward to meeting you and the COG get together sounds like fun.

Btw, name is Craig, not Steve. Sorry to break up the pattern, heh.
