Shock replacement
« on: March 04, 2018, 03:53:29 PM »
I've looked, but not found anything so far.  Is there a rebuildable shock from another bike that will bolt up directly without mods to the C14?  Not really in a position to drop $1K on a Penske or Ohlins and my shock is still functional at the time.  Just looking for options.
Thanks.

The Nitron R1 rear shock is one option. http://www.nitron.co.uk click on Dealers and enter your zip code for the nearest one.

Have you spoken with Traxxion?
They may know the answer to your question and offer you options

I've looked at the aftermarket shocks and they're all a lot more than I'm willing to spend at this point.  I was hoping to find a shock off another bike that would match up and was rebuildable.   My current shock is functional, just looking for something with the ability to change the fluid at the very least.  Having to replace the shock just to get new fluid is stupid, from where I sit, but apparently, it's the same with FJRs, Honda STs, Triumph Sprints and HDs.  Why???

Not yet, but they're on the radar and I've looked at their website.
