I am 5'7 175 and can pick them up all day, either.  It is all about technique, but at some point the frequency greatly declines in drops.  Unless you are a phenom dropping is part of the learning process and I have yet to meet a phenom.

CHP on C14 spotted today.

So I was driving south on interstate 15 near Marine Corps Air Station Miramar (San Diego) when I noticed off in the distance what looked like C14 headlights in my mirror. They have a distinctive look. It was gaining on me pretty quickly but things didn’t look quite right to be sure that it was a C14. It had to get almost next to me when I realized it was indeed a C14 with a CHP officer riding it! It had the typical black & white paint. It also had a set of MC Enterprises protective bars with a chrome finish. So no more advantage C14 in my neighborhood!

One last remark? Ok...buddy of mine is a CHP motor officer and his training officer just got a C14...he loves the power but is bugged by the width of the bags...he said his trainer will gladly get used to it for the power  ;)
Really like this forum just got my Connie recently an loving it!

We had the same transiion issue from the BMWs. With the police crash guards added the bike is a bit wider.

If I had the option I would take the ergos of the RTP and install the C14 engine.  I think I would get in trouble if I rode the C14 for work though.

Bags on the Connie are not any wider than the width of the side mirrors and you can get narrower bags for the c14 from Steve Beaudry Kawasaki who sold all the Connies to CHP.

Btw I never dropped my HD during my motor officer training... Just sayin'

Not sure if anyone is interested, but the local Kawasaki dealer is selling their demo police C-14. I think they are asking about $17k. Bellevue Kawasaki in Bellevue, WA. They told me they have to remove the pursuit lights and siren to sell to the public...

They want 17k and they want to remove all the police gear.....good luck with that price.  What year bike?  Even if it's a 12 that's way too much money.  They're out of their minds.

It is a 12, and I thought it was steep myself. That is why I bought an 09 with 4,000 miles for $8500 instead!
But, I thought someone might be interested. I am sure the asking price and actual selling price are 2 very different numbers... ;)

I already posted this on the other forum but thought it might be appropriate to post in this forum too.

Spotted at LAX on the 6 June.
I was outbound headed back to the UK.
Yes, I did ask permission of the Police Officer.

If anyone wants to see the originals (3200x2450) PM or email me.
Too big to post here.

Not really.  You have a company adding electrics and using the existing electrical infrastructure.  It's unfortunate, but it happens.  In this case, the MPOK (Mad Powah of Kipass) didn't help them.

Prolly using the 'CC' fobs instead of the full sized versions.

Taking the 08' up to Michigan for the Police vehicle trials this weekend. They will have the Connie, BMW, HD and Can Am Spyders this year. Anything in paticular anyone wants to know? Will be talking to reps about their vehicles so this would be a good time to speak up.
