My turn to cook - surf & turf
« on: July 28, 2011, 09:34:39 PM »
So our girls are down at the beach for a couple days, I opted to treat the wife to a meal that I cook tonight...

I actually do like to cook, especially with beer in hand.  ;D

Grilled up some angus tenderloin steaks, much more reasonible to buy these when cooking for 2 instead of 4.

Got some baby red potato's, baked them first then cut them in half and pan fried the center side in butter, topped with sour cream and chives.

Asparagus, lightly pan cooked in yet again butter...  :P

And some shrimp with cocktail sauce.

Enjoy the pics, it was freakin awesome!! Oh, and I'm back on my wife's good list again, she's already forgot about the full Muzzys cost...  ;D ;D ;D

Dang nice job.  I love to cook also but I often fail horribly with the presentation.  Beautiful job all the way around.

You are making the rest of us look bad.  I run the grill and cook in the kitchen, but very rarely do both for the same meal.

Looks great ZG!!!    :P

But but but, how did your wife find out about the full Muzzys cost? You slippin?

Total cost was $2600, of which I paid $1600 in cash, so she only saw the $1k from the bank account and still rolled her eyes about doing it. If she only knew huh...  :-X   ;D

She doesn't know the total amount YET!!! I expect to see one quality meal per month delivered to my address for a period of 12 months or I release full disclosure to the misses.
