Last IBA ride of 2015
« on: December 26, 2015, 10:49:58 PM »
SS1K 121515, the last Iron Butt ride of 2015.
Since I’m trying to ride all the AZ State Routes my maps get a bit complex

https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=z-mHDRkEdGSs.kvY3A3MkyuJQ

Start was not the best, first gas stop no receipt and nothing close by. Stop #4 was a closed Burger King at 5:30 am (here goes the breakfast). Florence and Oro Valley was the coldest at 25F. Caught some dinosaurs in Gila Bend going west. Yuma and Indio where about 50-60F. Quick lunch stop in Coachella, CA. Next stop was the Joshua Tree Visitor Center asnd off back to Arizona through Parker (50F) and Congress was down between 30 and 32F. Visit the Phoenix Ariona Temple and south to Gila Bend, Maricopa and Phoenix to atop the clock at 18:27 hours.

The GPS (car nuvi 55LM) didn’t perform very well going on and off, fixed with some paper but again on and off. At least some of the track was saved.
I was able to complete AZ84, AZ387, the never built AZ989, CA62, AZ72, AZ71, and AZ74. One NP and one Temple.

Motorcycle miles: 1,041; Google maps miles: 1,031; Basecamp miles: 1,022.
Total time: 18:39 hr; trip mph: 56.4(M) 55.9(G) 55.4(B)
Temperatures ranged from 25F to 60F.
