I'm Fine....really
« on: January 21, 2012, 02:02:40 PM »
There's nothing whatever wrong with me
I'm just about as healthy as I can be,
I have arthritis in both my knees
And when I talk it's with a wheeze.
My pulse is weak, and my blood is thin.
But I'm awfully well for the shape I'm in.

My teeth will eventually have to come out,
And my diet I have to think about,
I'm a little overweight, I can't get thin
And my appetite is such thatI probably won't win.
But I'm awfully well for the shape I'm in.

Arch supports support both feet,
And without I wouldn't be on the street.
Sleep is denied me night after night,
And every morning I'm quite a site.
My memories failing - my heads in a spin
I'm practically living on Aspirin,
But I'm awfully well for the shape I'm in.

The moral is as this tale will unfold,
That for you and me who are growing old,
It's better to say "I'm fine" with a grin
Then to let others know the shape I'm in.

Now how do I know that my youth is almost spent,
Because "my get up and go has got up and went".
But in spite of it all I'm still able to grin,
When I think about where my GET UP has been   ;)

Ride safe all, and think young.

Why did we have to run for cover with the promise of a brave new world unfold beneath the clear blue sky ?
