Pap from Pa.
« on: January 17, 2014, 08:22:34 AM »
Greetings all,
I do not have a Connie,,,,,,yet.
The wife and I have been looking hard at one tho.
We had a 2004 Honda ST for a few years, then my doctor told me I would'nt be able to ride that bike after my hip replacement.
So off it went and we bought a M109r Suzuki the morning of my surgery.
I had her take pictures of it and put them on the shelf in the hospital...incentive to get my sorry butt moving!!
Now we love the Suzuki, but really miss the ST.
So here we are.

We've looked at the FJR but thought it was too cramped, sat on the C-14 and felt just fine.

I've been trying to find posts here and on the internet of two up riding comfort and rain protection.
We have a bucket list of wanting to go to mile marker 1 at the Florida Keys and out west to see the Giant Sequoias.
Do you think this bike is comfy enough for these longer trips?
Any and all opinions are welcome.

Love this site by the way, lots of good humored people here.

Pap, chances are good, you'll want to invest in a different seat and a larger wind screen. But yes, it is comfortable enough for long rides. Unless you've gotten to that age where you want more comfort and less sport, then a gold wing would be in order. If you like riding solo often enough, then the C14 is for you. If all you do is two up, then I would definitely add the wing to list of bikes to check out. Welcome to the fun! Let us know what you decide.

I love that commercial!  Thanks, Charlie.  Never forget the sausages...

Ok, so again...  We like humor, beer, and sausages (English) and not necessarily in that order.

Ooops, forgot one....  humor, beer, sausages, and shrubbery.

Pap, start a new thread in the Accessories board for the two up comfort questions...and we'll go from there.

Hey now! What's wrong with a good polish kielbasa?

Welcome Pap. Now get out there and buy you a C-14!
